What is TOPIK?

The TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) is a standardized test used to assess the Korean language proficiency of non-native speakers. It's administered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) in South Korea.

There are two levels of the test:

1. TOPIK I: Tests basic Korean skills, including listening and reading comprehension. It is divided into two sub-tests: Listening and Reading.

2. TOPIK II: Assesses intermediate to advanced Korean skills and includes listening, reading, and writing sections. It is divided into three sub-tests: Listening, Reading, and Writing.

The test is offered at various levels, with levels 1 and 2 being beginner, levels 3 and 4 intermediate, and levels 5 and 6 advanced. The results are often used for academic and professional purposes, such as applying for Korean universities or job opportunities in Korea.

One way to prepare for the TOPIK exam is to solve old question papers. To study in this way, I have brought a vocabulary list of difficult words from the 64th TOPIK exam question paper. Please download and study it.
