What is TOPIK?

     

     TOPIK stands for Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK). TOPIK is a Korean language test for non-native speakers of the Korean language. TOPIK consists of six levels (Level 1 to Level 6, i.e. 1급 ~ 6급). These six levels can be further divided into TOPIK I and TOPIK II. TOPIK consists of 1급 and 2급, and similarly, TOPIK II consists of 3급, 4급, 5급, and 6급. TOPIK is administered by the National Institute for International Education  (국립국제교육원, NIIED).

     You are free to do self-study while preparing for TOPIK. You aren't compelled to join any official class before appearing in the TOPIK exam.  I've compiled all books required while preparing for the TOPIK exam. I have included complete series of books and also some books that may enhance your ability in some aspects of the Korean language (e.g. writing, idiomatic expression, slang words, etc.).

'Korean Grammar in Use' series has a total of 4 books. I think this is the best book series for English language speakers who want to learn the Korean language. To download all four books:

     '어휘' means word, vocabulary in Korean language. If you want to build a good vocab in Korean language, this book is the best choice. This book contains 초급, 중급 and 고급, which means Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced levels. To download all books:

B. TOPIK I and II Book Series

     The best way to prepare for TOPIK is to practice as many question sets (Mock tests, also known as 실전모의고사 in Korean) as you can. Do you want the best book to prepare for TOPIK exam? I've found two best books for preparing for TOPIK exams.

What is KIIP?

     KIIP  stands for Korean Immigration and Integration Program. This program is conducted by the Immigration office of the Korean government. It consists of a total of five levels, viz. level 0 to 5 (levels 0 and 1 are taught at the same level). 

     If you study the KIIP course, you'll get points while changing your visa status. As per the 2022 rule, if you complete level 5, you'll acquire 25 points (20 points + 5 points bonus). Similarly, level 4 gets 15 points, level 3 gets 10 points, and level 2 gets 5 points.
